To read our Amharic Web site, you may
need to download and install the font Ethiopia Jiret.
The Internet Explorer 6.0 should support font-embedding and should
display the site properly without installing a font.
However, if the font is not displayed properly, there are two ways
to install the font. Please follow these instructions.
Automatic installation
- Click on the link below.
Ethiopia Jiret (Amharic Unicode - Automatic setup and
installation)
- When prompted, select "Save file to disk". Save the file to a
location of your choice.
- Open the self-extracting file and double-click it.
- Follow the instructions.
- You may have to restart your computer in order to complete the
installation.

Manual installation
- Click on the link below.
Ethiopia Jiret (Amharic Unicode font in ZIP format)
- When prompted, select "Save file to disk". Save the file to a
location of your choice.
- Extract the font to a location of your choice.
- From the Start menu, go to "Settings", then to "Control Panel"
- Double-click the icon "Fonts".
- In the folder menu go to "Files" and choose "Install new
Font".
- Then select the folder where you've extracted the file "JIRET.TTF".
"Ethiopia Jiret (TrueType)" should appear in the upper list.
- Select it and then click on the "OK"-Button
- You may have to restart your computer in order to complete the
installation
